Oao is a family-owned and operated food establishment serving locally sourced and fresh Sushi & Japanese cuisine in Maui, Hawaii. Our owner, widely known as Chef JR Oao, is a Master Sushi Chef wielding over 15 years of experience in sushi making & Japanese cuisine. Thus does he pride himself on being a master of sushi creation, innovation, and dish presentation.

Cooking for my family as a dad holds immense significance to me. It's a way for me to connect and bond with my loved ones on a deeper level. Through the act of preparing meals, I not only nourish their bodies but also their hearts and souls. Sharing a meal that I have cooked with my family creates a sense of togetherness and reinforces the strong bond we share.

Moreover, being able to cook for my family allows me to be a role model for my children. It teaches them valuable life skills and instills in them the importance of taking care of others. I hope that by showing my dedication to preparing meals for my family, I am setting an example for my children to one day emulate.

In essence, cooking for my family as a dad is not just about providing sustenance; it's about fostering connections, creating memories, and being a positive influence in the lives of my children.
