Prep Time10 minsCook Time10 minsTotal Time20 mins

 1 lb top sirloin, cubed
 1 tsp smoked paprika
 salt and pepper, taste
 2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
 ¼ cup water
 4 cloves garlic, minced
 2 tbsp honey
 1 tbsp sesame oil
 1 tbsp rice vinegar
 ½ tsp dried oregano
 1 tbsp cornstarch
 sesame seeds, for garnish
thinly sliced green onions, for garnish

1

Season the cubed steak pieces with paprika, salt, and pepper and set aside.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, garlic, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, oregano, and cornstarch. Whisk until well combined and set aside.

3

Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large, cast iron skillet over medium-high until hot.

4

Add about half of the steak cubes and cook for around 2 minutes per side, until your desired level of doneness is reached.

5

Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining oil and steak cubes.

6

When all of the steak bites are cooked, give the sauce a whisk and pour about 1/3 of it into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan as you do so.

7

Return the steak bites to the pan, pour the remaining sauce over the top, and simmer for 1-2 minutes, until the steak is heated through and the sauce begins to thicken.

8

Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter.

9

Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve and enjoy!

I found adding a little more Honey to the mix makes the dish pop more... if you like it spicy add some a 1/2 tsp of crushed red peppers.
