I work as a cook 6 days a week and when I'm not working I'm playing with my kids in the pool or watching movies with them. Just being with my family is what makes me happy!
Leo and his family lost everything during the Maui, Lahaina Fires in August 2023. He and his wife are working hard to get back on their feet. Q1 - What’s one tool in the kitchen you wish you had and why?
I wish I had my knife set that I lost in the fire which I had collected for over 7 years.
Q2 - What’s your biggest meal disaster?
While I was working at Moku Roots I was busy and I dropped 3 plates full of food and had to remake them.
Q3 - What’s one thing you would like to learn how to make?
I would like to learn how to make a lot of stuff but specially vegan desserts.
Q4 - If there was one dish you would teach your kids to make, what would it be?
I would like to teach them everything I know but specially the Tinga Tacos I made today.
Q5 - What does it mean to you as a dad to cook for your family?
It means a lot because when I cook for them they most of the time like my food and I like to see their happy faces.
