My name is Justin Cantere.
My influence in cooking has been my dad. He’s always been the one to cook delicious food for family gatherings and now I get to do the same and watch everybody enjoy the ʻono (delicious) food I catch and cook. I started cooking under one of the top Chefs here in Hawaii, Chef Sheldon Simeon about 8 years ago. I still currently cook for him at his main local family restaurant called Tinroof. I really enjoy exploring different tastes and creating one of a kind dishes for my ʻOhana (family) to enjoy. What I really look forward to when I cook is getting everybody together to spend some quality time and watching everybody’s faces light up when they taste my food.
