Q1 - What’s one tool in the kitchen you wish you had and why?

I wish I had a nice chinois for sauces and soups.

Q2 - What’s your biggest meal disaster?

My biggest meal disaster was a large batch of roasted tomatillo sauce for dinner. The sauce turned out great, but I decided to pour into a quart size mason jar. As I poured the sauce, the jar cracked and all the sauce and broken glass poured all over the counter and kitchen floor. It was a mess!

Q3 - What’s one thing you would like to learn how to make?

I would love to make authentic paella.

Q4 - If there was one dish you would teach your kid to make, what would it be?

I try to teach my girls kitchen skills they can apply to all types of food. They are really good at making pizza!!

Q5 - What does it mean to you as a dad to cook for your family?

Cooking for my family is one of my greatest joys in life. I try to make every meal a celebration and time to fellowship together around dinner.
