TAMARIND MARGARITA

Chili powder, kosher salt , lime zest (for the glass rim)
2 oz tequila
2 oz tamarind syrup
½ medium lime (juiced)
1 cup crushed ice or 1 large cube

Small bowl 
Cocktail shaker 
  1. In a small bowl combine the chili powder, salt and lime zest and mix well. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip the chili, salt & zest mixture and set aside.
  2. In a shaker add ice, tequila, tamarind syrup and fresh lime juice... Shake it!
  3. Fill the glass with ice and then pour the margarita mixture ingredients over the ice and stir.
  4. Garnish with a slice of lime

Note: If you want it to be a little sweeter add some simple syrup or a dash of orange juice.
