This Honey-Sesame Chicken is simply the best. So flavorful and simple to make! Cooking it in the Instant Pot makes the chicken extra tender, but you can also do it in a slow cooker or on the stovetop.
Combine the chicken, soy sauce, chicken stock, honey, sesame oil, green onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame seeds in a large Ziploc bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. (You can also freeze it at this point. Just allow it to thaw for 24 hours in the refrigerator before cooking.)
After marinating, add the chicken with marinade to the Instant Pot.
Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes then allow the pressure to naturally release. (Alternatively, you can cook the chicken in a slow cooker for 4-5 hours or a large pot on the stove.)
Open and remove the chicken using a slotted spoon.
To thicken the sauce, set Instant Pot to sauté mode and gradually whisk in the flour or cornstarch. Simmer for 4-5 minutes then return the chicken to the sauce and turn off Instant Pot.
Serve the chicken over the cooked white rice and garnish with sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds.
