GRILLED DESSERT PEARS

Grilling brings out the natural sweetness in fruits and it's a great way to utilize the grill after you've used it for dinner. This quick and easy dessert cooks up while you're eating dinner! 

INGREDIENTS:

4 Bartlett pears
Dark brown sugar
Cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Tools
Tin foil 
Cutting board 
Knife

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat grill to 375°F.
  2. Rinse and dry the pears.
  3. Cut in half lengthwise and remove the core and stem.
  4. Cover the top of each half with brown sugar.
  5. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon.
  6. Close the two pear halves together, place in the center of a piece of tin foil, and wrap tightly.
  7. Repeat with the remaining pears.
  8. Place on the top rack of the grill and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Place each pear in a bowl, top with vanilla ice cream, and enjoy!!
