Received the BBQ Beast kit as a Christmas gift. Really like how they feel in my hands. Love the handle material and full tang. Haven't cut much with them yet, but they are indeed sharp right out of the box. The region in China you source from probably produces a sizable percentage of knives made for the world. The steel used is a good bang for the buck without spending a fortune. If I read correctly your knives are forged not stamped. Many knives will cut, but these have that look we all want. My husband loved the knives and is excited to use them for our next big meal. We prefer to buy our meats in large pieces or whole, like chickens, and do our own butchering. These knives are sturdy enough, sharp enough, and weighted really well to help make our home butchering less of a chore and more of a delight. It’s just mesmerizing over how beautiful the detail and everything was also now he’s waiting to cook after Christmas I always try to get gifts that no one’s gonna give anybody that’s gonna mean something to somebody not just a gift and this was definitely the perfect gift..
