I’m Chef  Nezerwe Moise from Rwanda.   I’m a professional chef. I studied in college for 4 years and received my advanced diploma in culinary art.   I have 10 years of experience as a chef. I have worked in various 5-star hotels such as Kigali Marriott Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel, and now I’m at Singita Kwitonda Lodge in Volcanoes National Park as Chef de Partie in the main kitchen!!   I’m happily married and we have a wonderful 2 year-old boy…  

Q1 - What’s one tool in the kitchen you wish you had and why?

Knives, because they can help me everyday and everywhere I need to be for my job.

Q2 - What’s your biggest meal disaster?

No food is a disaster because every food you eat is necessary to complete the needs of our bodies.

Q3 - What’s one thing you would like to learn how to make?

I would like to put a bit more effort into learning a wider variety of dishes from different cultures such as Indian, Korean, and Arabic food.

Q4 - If there was one dish you would teach your kid to make, what would it be?

I will be excited to teach my kid how to make pasta pomodorini, it's a very simple dish overall without complicated techniques in the preparation. And it's tasty!

Q5 - What does it mean to you as a dad to cook for your family?

Cooking is a pleasure when I do it with my family - it's so very nice to cook for them. As a dad, I like to create happiness within my family!!
